Disable the style “Color Scheme” for your desktop theme.

This setting enables you to modify some desktop theme settings like the Windows styles, buttons, schemes and fonts.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista

Description:

This setting enables you to modify some desktop theme settings like the Windows styles, buttons, schemes and fonts.

With this setting you disable the style "Color scheme", so you can’t set it according to preferences.

For this go to "Start->Run" and enter "regedit" and search the key listed below. You can create one DWORD value "NoColorChoice", if this value is not existing.

Now you can set this value to disable the style "Windows and buttons" of your desktop theme. After a restart or logoff the changes take effect.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

'Color Scheme' option box is restricted for 'Desktop Themes'.

'Color Scheme' box is enabled for 'Desktop Themes' by default.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\] and create a new key as "System".

Create a new 'DWORD value' as "NoColorChoice".

Right Click on "NoColorChoice" and select 'Modify'.

Fianlly, set the value data as "1" and click 'OK'.
