Remove “Network Connections” item from the Start menu (All Users).

This setting disables the display of “Network Connections” inside the Start menu.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista
“Network Connections” option in Control Panel lets you connect to other computers, networks and Internet. If you go to “Start > Settings” menu and select “Network Connections”, operating system will open the Network Connections window. But, with this setting can hide “Network Connections” item in the Start menu.

For this, go to Start > Run, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a DWORD value “NoNetworkConnections”, if this value does not exist.

Now, right-click and modify the value to “1” which can hide Network Connections item. However, if you want to show the item again, change the value data to “0” or delete the value.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

'Network Connections' item is removed from the Start menu.

'Network Connections' item is visible by default in the Start menu.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\], right-click in the open area to create a DWORD Value with the name "NoNetworkConnections" in "Explorer" key.

Next, right-click on "NoNetworkConnections" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value User "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.

Prohibit access to “Control Panel” (All Users).
