Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.
‘My Documents’ folder is hidden from the Desktop.
‘My Documents’ folder is visible by default on the Desktop.
First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CLSID\{450D8FBA-AD25-11D0-98A8-0800361B1103}\] key and create a new key with the name "ShellFolder" under "{450D8FBA-AD25-11D0-98A8-0800361B1103}".
Now, right-click in the open area to create a DWORD Value with the name "Attributes" in "ShellFolder" key.
Next, right-click on "Attributes" and click on 'Modify'.
Finally, enter the value "f0500174" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
