Add a menu option to move to folder

This tweak lets you add a menu option to move to folder.

Tweak for : Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista
Right click any file or folder and use
browse for folder dialog to select the path of your file or folder. This gives you an alternative to Windows default cut or copy and paste method, which requires you to navigate to the actual location.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. If the subkey “\Move To” is not present, create it as explained below. Then, create a string value name “Default”, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value data box with “{C2FBB631-2971-11d1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}” to enable the setting.

Click “OK” and close the registry editor.

After logoff or system restart, changes take effect.

Add a Menu Option Move to Folder.reg

The ".reg" file can add a menu option "Move To Folder".

Remove Menu Option Move to Folder (default).reg

The ".reg" file can remove a menu option "Move To Folder".

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

The right-click menu option "Move To Folder" is visible after the changes have been made in the registry.

The right-click menu option "Move To Folder" is not visible.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the "[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\]" key, right-click and click on "New > Key" to create a new key with the name "Move To".

Third, right-click on the "Default" String value and click on "Modify".

Finally, enter the value "{C2FBB631-2971-11d1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}" in the text box and click on 'OK'.

Hide the File menu in Windows Explorer.
