Change the background image of the toolbar of the Explorer.

With this tweak you can change the background image for the toolbar of the Explorer.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000

Description:

The toolbar of the Explorer has no background image by default. By using this tweak you are able to change toolbar background image of the Explorer.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter "regedit" and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a REG_SZ (String Value) value "BackBitmapShell", if this value does not exist.

Now, right-click and modify the value to the full path and filename of the new background image. However, if you want to get back to the original state delete value.

Log off or restart your system for the change to take effect.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

The background image of the "Toolbar" is changed after the changes have been made in the registry.

The background image of the "Toolbar" is default.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar] key, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > String Value" to create a new String value with the name "BackBitmapShell".

Third, right-click on the 'BackBitmapShell' String value and click on "Modify".

Finally, enter the path of the image in the text box and click on 'OK'.
