Increase the thumbnail size of file/folder.

This tweak is used to increase the thumbnail size of file/folder in Windows Explorer.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003

Description:

A thumbnail represents a small version of full size picture/graphic. Normally, it is a square of one inch and its size is about 4-5 KB but all this depends on the program through which it is created and the size of the original graphic. The default size is 96 pixels.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below and search the key. You can create a DWORD value “ThumbnailSize”, in the right panel, if this value does not exist.

Now, right-click and modify its value to enter the desired value data in pixels. However, to have default value, just delete the added value name .

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer \],right-click in the open area to create a DWORD Value with the name "ThumbnailSize" in "Explorer" key.

Next, right-click on "ThumbnailSize" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the per-user pixel size in the text box and click on 'OK'.
