Show full path in Title Bar and Address Bar

This tweak lets you show the complete folder/directory path, you are currently placed at, in the Title Bar and Address Bar of the folder.

Description:

In Windows Explorer or My Computer, you can set to display the full path in the Title Bar and Address Bar. The complete path refers to the directory or folder location that you are currently looking at. If the full path is shown in the Address Bar then you’re able to type it in the Address Bar just as you can in your Web browser. Similarly, displaying complete path in the Title Bar is useful if you have several explorer windows open often. The text that shows up in the title bar also shows up in the taskbar icon when explorer is minimized.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a DWORD value “FullPath” and “FullPathAddress”, if they do not exist.

Now, right-click and modify the value to “1”, which can show full paths. However, if you want to get back to the original state, change the value to “0” or delete the value names.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

NOTE:
In Windows 98 only registry value ‘FullPath’ can work.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

The Title Bar and Address Bar shows the complete path to the folder where your are currently placed.

It shows only the name of the folder where you are currently placed in Title Bar and Address Bar.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type 'regedit'.

Second, go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CabinetState\] and right click on the DWORD value 'FullPath' and select 'Modify'.

Third, set the value data as '1' and click 'OK'.

Fourth, again go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CabinetState\] and create another DWORD value 'FullPathAddress'.

Next, right click on the DWORD value 'FullPathAddress' and select 'Modify'.

Finally, set the value data as '1' to view full path in Title Bar and Address Bar and click 'OK'.
