Change the path of Task Scheduler log file.

This settings enables you to specify the path of log file of Task Scheduler.

Tweak for : Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista

Description:

Task Scheduler can schedule execution of desired programs. With this setting you can specify the characteristics of Task Scheduler like the path and the size of the file.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. If the subkey “\SchedulingAgent” does not exist, create it as explained below. Then, create a Expandable String value “LogPath”, to define a new path in the Value Data field for maintaining Task Scheduler’s log details.

Refresh view of your computer for the changes to take effect.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

First, click the Start button, and select Run. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\] key, right-click and click on "New > Key" to create a new key with the name "SchedulingAgent".

Third, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > Expandable String Value" to create a new value with the name "LogPath".

Fourth, right-click on the 'LogPath' Expandable String value and click on "Modify".

Finally, enter the path where you would like to store the log file.
