Delete Internet search history in Windows.

If you search the Internet by using the Search form the Start menu, Windows will save the queries you entered in the registry. You can delete the history of your searches from the registry.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003

Description:

You can use Windows Search from Start menu to search the Internet. To do that, go Start > Search and choose “Search the Internet”. You can search the Internet for a specific topic. In such case, Windows will save the queries you enter in the registry. By using his tweak you are able to delete the history of your searches from the registry.

For this go to Start > Run and enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. Delete all numeric entries like 000, 001, 002 etc., in the right panel.

The changes will take effect after a restart or logoff.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Search Assistant\ACMru\5001\], in the open area right-click on "ID" (where ID=000 to N integer value) and click on 'Delete'.
