Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.
Vertical spacing in between ‘Desktop icons’ is changed.
Default vertical spacing in between ‘Desktop icons’ is visible.
First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics\] , in the open area right-click on "IconVerticalSpacing" and click on 'Modify'.
Finally, enter the value "User Defined Value" Without quotation in the text box and click on 'OK'. Once you are done. After a restart or logoff, the changes take effect.
