Displaying selected icons of Internet Explorer on desktop.

This setting enables you to display selected Internet Explorer icons on the desktop.

Tweak for : Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista
This setting makes selected icons like "Internet Explorer History" and "Temporary Internet Files (Disk Cache)" to appear on the desktop.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a subkey under “NameSpace” as “{FF393560-C2A7-11CF-BFF4-444553540000}” which corresponds to “Internet Explorer History” and “{7BD29E00-76C1-11CF-9DD0-00A0C9034933}” which represents “Temporary Internet Files (Disk Cache)”.

However, if you want to remove these icons from desktop, delete the respective subkey.

Refresh view of your computer for the changes to take effect.

NOTE:
The added Internet Explorer folder icon folders can neither be accessed nor deleted from the desktop.

Display of Selected Icons of Internet Explorer Enabled.reg

The '.reg' file shows selected icons like "Internet Explorer History" and "Temporary Internet Files (Disk Cache)" to appear on the desktop.

Display of Selected Icons of Internet Explorer Disabled (Default).reg

The '.reg' file removes the "Internet Explorer History" and "Temporary Internet Files (Disk Cache)" icons from the desktop.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

Selected icons from ‘Internet Explorer’ are visible on the ‘Desktop’.

Default icon of ‘Internet Explorer’ is visible on the ‘Desktop’.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion \Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\], key and create a new key with the name "{FF393560-C2A7-11CF-BFF4-444553540000}" under "NameSpace".

After addding the subkey the editor may look as below.

Change the default font of Windows interface.

This setting enables you to change the default font of Windows interface.

Display general Windows icons on the desktop.

This setting enables the display of general Windows Icons.

Selected options in Recycle Bin menu enabled

This setting enables you to display only selected options in the context menu of Recycle Bin.

Do not save changed icon position on desktop (For Current User)

Users can change the positions of icons and place them anywhere on the desktop. Windows saves such settings even when the user logs off or restarts the system. This setting can let you disable such feature.

Hide Recycle Bin Properties option (For Current User).

Category : Display > Fonts & Icons

This setting can hide the Properties option from context menu of Recycle Bin.
