Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.
‘Internet Explorer’ icon is removed from the 'Desktop'.
‘Internet Explorer’ icon is visible on the 'Desktop' by default.
First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Second, go to the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Version Vector\] key, right-click and click on "Modify".
Fourth, go to the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\{FBF23B42-E3F0-101B-8488-00AA003E56F8}] key, right-click and click on "Delete".
Fifth, go to the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\] key, right-click on the "NoInternetIcon" DWORD value and click on "Modify".
Sixth, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
Seventh, go to the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\] key, right-click on the "NoInternetIcon" DWORD value and click on "Modify".
Eighth, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
Ninth, go to the [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{871C5380-42A0-1069-A2EA-08002B30309D}\ShellFolder\] key, right-click on the "Attributes" DWORD value and click on "Modify".
Finally, enter the value "100024" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
