'Internet Explorer' icon is hidden from the 'Desktop'.
'Internet Explorer' icon is visible on the 'Desktop' by default.
First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel\],right-click on the DWORD Value '{871C5380-42A0-1069-A2EA-08002B30309D} and select 'Modify'.
Finally, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
