Cascading “My Music” items in the new Start menu.

This setting enables you to control the display of “My Music” either as cascaded menu or as a folder link in the new Start menu.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista

Description:

Cascaded menu makes the items behave like menus with submenus instead of just opening the related folder. With this setting, you can make the “My Music” display its items in cascade menu rather than opening a folder link.

For this, go to Start > Run, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a DWORD value “Start_ShowMyMusic”, if this value does not exist.

Now, right-click and modify the value to “2” which can show “My Music” items as a cascaded menu. However, if you want to show folder display back, change the value data to “1” or delete the value.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

NOTE:
This setting will have no effect if you use the Classic Start menu display in Windows.

Cascading “My Music” items inside the new Start menu is disabled.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\] and create a new 'DWORD value' as "Start_ShowMyMusic".

Right Click on "Start_ShowMyMusic" and select 'Modify'.

Finally, set the value data as "2" and click 'OK'.
