The list of recently opened items is cleared from the "My Recent Documents" and Internet Explorer URL history is deleted.
The list of recently opened items is visible.
First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Second, go to the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\] key, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > DWORD Value" to create a new DWORD value with the name "ClearRecentDocsOnExit".
Second, right-click on the 'ClearRecentDocsOnExit' DWORD value and click on "Modify".
Finally, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
