Tweak for : Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista
The documents, images, programs, or music files you did work on very recently, are displayed by “Recent Documents” as they are stored by Windows in most recently used files. Normally, the maximum number of files stored is 15 but this can be changed to suit your requirement.

This setting enables you to clear all these documents. This can be done through some settings in the Windows registry.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. When in “RecentDocs” folder, select all the values in the right-pane and press delete. It will delete the records of all recently accessed documents.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

NOTE:
The “Recent Documents” folder can be accessed in new Start menu 2-panel display.
