The "Notepad" option is not visible in the Start menu after the changes have been made in the registry.
The "Notepad" option is visible in the Start menu.
First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Second, go to the 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\Applications\notepad.exe\' key, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > String Value" to create a new String Value with the name "NoStartPage".
Finally, the created String value will look like below.
