Enable 'Pin to Start menu' for folders in the context menu.

Through this setting you can enable'Pin to Start menu' option for folders in the context menu.

Description:

There are two ways for pinning files or folders to Start menu. Pinning files are the links listed on left top of the 2-panel Start menu display which is separated by a line from the remaining links. The first one is to drag and drop that file/folder. By dragging and dropping you can add new items to this pinned list. You can easily release the mouse button either on the new Start button or on the new Start menu for adding it.

The other way is from context menu. If you open the context menu of a file (right click on it) while holding the shift key, then you can see the new menu item "Pin to start menu". Clicking this item you can place shortcuts in the Start menu. For removing it you can use again the context menu right clicking on this new pinned item and then clicking "Unpin from Start menu" or "Remove from This List".

You can use this feature, e.g., for quickly accessing your "Program files" folder in your profile.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter "regedit" and navigate to the registry path listed below. Then right click on "ContextMenuHandlers" key and select "key" option from the context menu to add the "{a2a9545d-a0c2-42b4-9708-a0b2badd77c8}" key (without quotes). However, if you want to get back to the original state just delete "{a2a9545d-a0c2-42b4-9708-a0b2badd77c8}" key.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

'Pin to Start Menu' option is enabled in the context menu.

'Pin to Start menu' option is not visible by default.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\], key and create a new key with the name "{a2a9545d-a0c2-42b4-9708- a0b2badd77c8}" under "ContextMenuHandlers".

The added key will look like below.
