Hide ‘Search the Internet’ from find option in Start menu and in Windows Explorer

This setting enables you to hide the "Search the Internet" option from the find menu on the start menu and in Windows Explorer.

Internet is itself a network, which comprises of many networks. It locates your request and provides information using other networks without having you to do anything. It provides you facilities like e-mail, telnet (remote login), world wide web and other services.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below after checking for the subkey, “0”. Right-click it and rename the data value with “0x” to enable the setting.

Click “OK” and close the registry editor.

Restart the system or logoff to see the changes taking effect.

These changes apply to ALL users on this machine.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

‘Search the Internet’ from find option in Start menu is removed.

‘Search the Internet’ from find option in Start menu is visible by default.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\FindExtensions\Static\WebSearch\],right-click on "0" Key and click on 'Rename'. Change name "0x", Once you are done. After a restart or logoff, the changes take effect.

Hide ‘People in your Address Book’ from find option in Start menu and in Windows Explorer

Hide searching using Microsoft & Outlook option in searching

This setting enables you to hide the "Searching using Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express" option in searching.

Display the “Favorites” menu item from the Start menu.

Category : Display > Start Menu

This setting can show the “Favorites” menu item from the Start menu, if it is currently hidden.

Remove “Run” item from the Start menu.

This setting enables you to hide the “Run” item in the Start menu.

Cascading “My Documents” items in the new Start menu.
