Ability to group similar taskbar buttons.

This setting allows grouping of similar windows buttons on Taskbar.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista
Usually, the facility to group similar windows buttons on Taskbar is enabled. But, if this facility is disabled you can enable it with this setting. This setting allows you to specify if similar windows should be displayed in one single button or in individual buttons on the taskbar.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a DWORD value “TaskbarGlomming” in HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry paths, if this value does not exist.

Now, right-click and modify the value to “1” which can group similar buttons. However, if you want to remove groupings, change the value to “0”.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

Disable Grouping on Taskbar.reg

The '.reg' file can remove grouping similar windows on Taskbar.

Enable Grouping on Taskbar (Default).reg

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

Grouping of similiar windows in taskbar is enabled.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\], right-click on "TaskbarGlomming" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value User "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.

Change the flash count of Taskbar button.

Add “View Channel Link” icon to the Quick Launch Bar.
