Avoid the Windows tour prompt.

Windows will show a balloon tip in the notification area for the first three times to take a Windows tour. This setting can disable this option.

Windows will show a balloon tip in the notification area for the first three times to take a Windows Tour. The user can start the Windows Tour by double-clicking the tour icon.

This feature opens up Windows experience tour useful to those who have purchased their first computer and are learning Windows for the first time. It's possible to disable the feature with this registry setting.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry paths listed below. You can create a DWORD value “RunCount” for each registry type, if this value does not exist.

Now, right-click and modify the value to “0” which can disable the
Windows tour notification. However, if you want to get the tour notification back, change the value to “1”.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

Allow tour prompt on first 3 logon (Default).reg

The '.reg' file can allow tour prompt on first 3 logon as default feature.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

Windows tour prompt is removed from the notification area.

Windows tour prompt is visible by default in the notification area.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets Tour\], in the open area right-click on "RunCount" and click on 'Modify'.

Enter the value "0" (Base Hexadecimal) in the text box and click on 'OK'.

Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets \], key and create a new key with the name "Tour" under "Applets".

Now, right-click in the open area to create a DWORD Value with the name "RunCount" in "Tour" key.

Next, right-click on "RunCount" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value "0" (Base Hexadecimal) in the text box and click on 'OK'.

Remove warning message for low disk space.

Category : Display > Taskbar

Windows will show a warning message, if the free disk space is 200MB or less. You can disable this warning with this setting.

Hide system clock from notification area (For All Users).

This option hides the system clock from the notification area generally called as system tray.

Hide notification area items (For All Users).

This setting lets you to disable the display of items in the notification area.

Hide notification area items (For Current User).

This setting lets you to disable the display of items in the notification area.

Add “View Channel Link” icon to the Quick Launch Bar.

If you want quick access to your “Favorites” list in Internet Explorer, you can add the “View Channel Link” icon in the Quick Launch Bar. This setting enables you to create this icon.
