Hide system clock from notification area (For Current User).

This option hides the system clock from the notification area generally called as system tray.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista
The timer library implements the system clock. However, you can hide the system clock from the notification area - generally called as system tray.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a DWORD value “HideClock”, if this value does not exist.

Now, right-click and modify the value to “1” which can hide system clock. However, if you want to show the clock back, change the value to “0” or delete the added value.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

Remove system clock from notification area.reg

The '.reg' file can hide system clock from notification area.

Show system clock from notification area (Default).reg

The '.reg' file can show system clock in notification area.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

'System Clock' is hidden from the 'Notification Area'.

'System Clock' is visible in the 'Notification Area' by default.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\] , right-click in the open area to create a DWORD Value with the name "HideClock" in "Explorer" key.

Next, right-click on "HideClock" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value as "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.

Disable toolbar selection on Taskbar (For Current User).

This setting can hide “Toolbars” option on Taskbar. It prevents users from messing with toolbars by changing their selections regularly.

Show only taskbar icon of minimized applications.

By using this tweak you are able to reduce the size each button needs inside the taskbar.

Hide inactive tray icons automatically

This setting enables you to specify if you like to hide inactive running tray programs automatically.

Restore “Show Desktop” icon in the Quick Launch Bar.

If you have some windows open on your desktop, you can minimize all those windows with the “Show Desktop” button. If this button is not present in the Quick Launch Bar, you can create it using this setting.

Add “Windows Explorer” icon to the Quick Launch Bar.

If you want quick access to your “Windows Explorer”, you can add the "Windows Explorer" icon in the Quick Launch Bar. This setting enables you to create this icon.
