Change the centered wallpaper position in memory.

This setting enables you to change the original position of the centered wallpaper style in memory.

Tweak for : Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000

Description:

A wallpaper can be set in 3 different styles – Stretch, Center and Tile. This setting can change the original position of the wallpaper if it is “Center” styles. This means you can move an image to any position of the screen rather than fixing it on the center screen.

The screen resolution is divided in pixels and image positioning is set on X and Y axis. X-axis values support horizontal image movements, positive values takes it to right while the negative values take it to left. Similarly, Y-axis values can shift the image from top to bottom depending upon the positive and negative values.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create the Sting values “WallpaperOriginX” and “WallpaperOriginY”, if these values do not exist.

Now, right-click and modify their values to set the position, where you want the image should be placed. However, if you want the image to be displayed at the default location, delete the value names.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

Original position of the centered style wallpaper is changed position.

Wallpaper is displayed at default position of on the Desktop.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\], right-click in the open area to create a String Value with the name "WallpaperOriginX" in "Desktop" key.

Next, right-click on "WallpaperOriginX" and click on 'Modify'.

Enter the desired value (in pixels like "100")" in the text box and click on 'OK'.

Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\] ,right-click in the open area to create a String Value with the name "WallpaperOriginY" in "Desktop" key.

Next, right-click on "WallpaperOriginY" and click on 'Modify'. Finally, enter the desired value (in pixels like "200")" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
