Change window border width.

This setting permits you to modify the width of the window in pixels.

Tweak for : Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista

Description:

You can change the dimension of the display element – window: that appears on the system display screen. This setting permits you to modify the width of window border (in pixels).

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click and modify the String value “BorderWidth” which can set the desired width (in pixels) you would like to display.

However, if you want to revert to the original border width, change the value data to “0”. On some systems the default value may be “-15” or “-12”.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

New border width set for display window.

Window border width is set to default.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics\] , right-click on "BorderWidth" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the width in the desired pixel size and click on 'OK'.
