Display user defined context menu in place of “Open With” command.

This setting enables you to add user defined command in place of “Open with” on the context menu that appears, if a file is right-clicked in the Explorer or Desktop.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista
Context menu is a very useful tool to make your working quite easy. You have many choices for working on a file or folder. Here you have another option, which lets you change the name of “Open with” command on the context menu that appears, if a file is right-clicked in the Explorer or Desktop. It also evades the common programs list available as sub menu to the “Open with” command and simply calls the dialog box to choose the program.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. If any of the subkeys “\Shell\OpenAs\” is not present, create it as explained below. Now, change the String value of “Default” to customized string of your choice like “Open Now” under “OpenAs” key.

Then, create another sub key under “OpenAs” with the name “Command” and change its String value “Default” to the data “rundll32.exe shell32.dll,OpenAs_RunDLL %1”.

However, if you want to revert to the original context menu condition, delete the subkey “Shell”.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.
