Enable Classic Search Assistant.

This setting enables you to have Classic method of Search Assistant enabled on your system.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003

Description:

Search Assistant is located inside the search bar. It likes to have full information in the query form from the user before embarking on the search. It stores and displays all type of information like text abstract, URL, file size.

This setting enables you to change the animated look of Search Assistant to Classic look. This can be done through some settings in the Windows registry.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a String value “Use Search Asst”, if this value does not exists.

Now, right-click and modify the value data to “no” which can clear call the Classic search. However, if you want the animated search look, change the value to “yes”.

The changes take effect after a logoff.

NOTE:
The value data are case-sensitive.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

Classic Search Assistant is enabled on your system.

The default animated look of Search Assistant is enabled.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CabinetState\] , right-click in the open area to create a String Value with the name "Use Search Asst" in "CabinetState" key.

Next, right-click on "Use Search Asst" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value User "no" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
