Change the mouse double clicking time.

This option sets the time between consecutive mouse clicks to be registered as a double-click. The time interval between two mouse clicks is measured in milliseconds and can be increased or decreased as per user convenience.

Description:

This tweak sets the time to measure two consecutive mouse clicks as a double-click. The mouse click time interval is always measured in milliseconds. The higher the value, the longer is the time taken to perform a double-click and the lower the value, the shorter is the time taken to perform a double-click.

The default double-click time is 500 milliseconds while the value can range between 200-900 milliseconds for Windows 2000 and advanced users. In Windows 98/ME, the value range has an extended limit of 100-900 milliseconds. However, accessing a file/folder at the lowest value of 100 is almost impossible.

For this, go to Start > Run, enter "regedit" and navigate to the registry keys listed below. Now, simply right-click on the existing string value "DoubleClickSpeed", select Modify and specify the time interval between a double-click operation in milliseconds in the Value Data field, for example, "700".

The changes will take effect after a restart or logoff.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Then, go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse\], right-click on "DoubleClickSpeed" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter your desired value in 'Value Data' field, for example "700", in the text box provided and click on 'OK'.
