Disabling the keyboard shortcut associated with Windows logo key.

This registry entry can disable the functioning of keyboard shortcuts associated with the Windows logo key.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista
Windows logo key can be used to process various tasks in combination with other keys.

The shortcut key is always a combination of one or more keys. If one of the shortcut keys happens to be the Windows logo key or WINKEY, then the process to be called with the key combination will be ignored. For example, normally, the simultaneous pressing of "WINKEY + D" displays the Desktop. This function will be disabled. Likewise, access to Start menu, task swapping etc. is also blocked.

For this, go to Start > Run, enter "regedit" and search the registry key listed below. You can create the DWORD value "NoWinKeys" if the value does not exist.

Now, set the Value Data as "1" to disable the Windows logo key.

The changes will take effect after a restart or logoff.
