Enable remote print job notifications.

This tweak lets you enable the print job notification messages.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000

Description:

By default Windows notifies a user with a popup message that their print job has been completed on the printer.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click and modify the Dword value “NetPopup”, in the right panel, to “1” which can enable print job notifications. However, if you want to disable the feature, change the value data to “0”.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

Remote print job notifications is enabled.

Remote print job notifications is disabled by default.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type 'regedit'.

Now, go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Providers\] , right click on the DWORD value 'NetPopup' and select 'Modify'.

Finally set the value data as '1' and click 'OK'.
