Get the CD-Key from the registry (For Win 98/Me).

This setting enables you to get the CD-key that was used for an installation from the registry.

Tweak for : Windows 98, Windows Me

Description:

This setting enables you to get the CD-key that was used for an installation from the registry.

In Windows 95 the value name is called "ProductID" and in Windows 98/ME the value name is called "Productkey".

For this go to "Start->Run" and enter "regedit" and search the key listed below. You can create one string value "ProductKey", if this value is not existing.

Now you can set this value to get the CD-key of your installation. After a restart or logoff the changes take effect.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Next, go to the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\] key, double-click on the "ProductKey" String value to know your Product Key.
