Enable event logging for group policies.

This setting is used to enable event logging for group policies feature available in Windows.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista

Description:

This tweak enables user environment event logging for group policy available in Windows. Windows can be configured to log several activities to the Application log, which can be viewed through event viewer for troubleshooting. Verbose logging presents more than normal information. You can modify the setting in the registry to cover verbose logging for group policy.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. If the subkey “\Diagnostics” does not exist, create it as explained below. Then, create a DWORD value “RunDiagnosticLoggingGroupPolicy” under “Diagnostics” subkey.

Now, right-click and modify this value to “1” which can enable event logging. However, if you want to disable the option, change the value data to “0” or delete the added value name.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Now, go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\] and create a new key as'Diagnostics'.

Create a DWORD Value 'RunDiagnosticLoggingGroupPolicy' under the key 'Diagnostics'.

Further right click on the DWORD value 'RunDiagnosticLoggingGroupPolicy' and select 'Modify'.

Finally keep the value data as '1' and click 'OK'
