You can disable the ability of the users to see all computers of the network in My Network Places.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000

Description:

The Entire Network is a feature in My Network Places that gives users the opportunity to see all workgroups and domains on the network. You can disable the ability of the users to see all computers of the network.

For this go to "Start->Run" and enter "regedit" and search the key listed below. You can create one key "Network" and then you create inside this key a DWORD value "NoEntireNetwork", if this value or the key is not existing.

Now you can set this value to hide the Entire Network in My Network Places. After a restart the changes take effect.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

The "Entire Network" option is not visible in the 'My Network Places' after the changes have been made in the registry.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\] key, right-click and click on "New > Key" to create a new key with the name "Network".

Third, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > DWORD Value" to create a new DWORD value with the name "NoEntireNetwork".

Fourth, right-click on the 'NoEntireNetwork' DWORD value and click on "Modify".

Finally, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
