Block “Internet Options” dialog in Internet Explorer.

You can stop some of the features of Internet Explorer from functioning. One of the features that you can block is the “Internet Options” dialog on the “Tools” menu.

Description:

You can control some features and behaviors of Internet Explorer. By default, you can launch the “Internet Options” dialog from “Tools” menu in Internet Explorer. But, with this setting, you can stop the “Internet Options” dialog from launching.

Important:
Even if you enable the launch of “Internet Options” dialog, all the open Internet Explorer windows will not show this effect.

For this, go to Start > Run, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a DWORD value “NoBrowserOptions” at HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry paths, if this value does not exist.

Now, right-click and modify the value to “1” which can disable the “Internet Options” dialog in Internet Explorer from appearing. However, if you want to get back to the original state, change the value to “0”.

Restart Internet Explorer for the changes to take effect.

Steps ScreenShots:

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

The "Internet Options" dialog is not allowed to open after the changes have been implemented.

The "Internet Options" dialog can be invoked from the "Tools" menu.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\] key and create a new key with the name "Internet Explorer" under "Microsoft".

Then, create a "Restrictions" key under "Internet Explorer".

Now, right-click in the open area to create a DWORD Value with the name "NoBrowserOptions" in "Restrictions" key.

The created DWORD value will look like below.

Next, right-click on "NoBrowserOptions" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'. Once you are done, follow the above steps to create similar registry keys and DWORD value at [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\].
