Internet Explorer calls Microsoft’s website when the default homepage URL is loaded with the browser. This setting can change the default homepage URL with the desired.

Description:

Internet Explorer facilitates to set the desired website URL as Internet Explorer homepage. The default homepage URL directs to Microsoft’s website, however, you can change it to any other URL that should show up when you call the default link.

For this, go to Start > Run, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click the String value “Default_Page_URL” and modify its value with the desired website URL, say “http://www.google.com”.

Refresh view of your computer for the changes to take effect.

The default homepage directs to the Microsoft website.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main] key, right-click on the blank area to create a new String value with the name "Default_Page_URL".

Next, right-click on the 'Default_Page_URL' String value and click on "Modify".

Finally, enter the URL of the website (like "http://www.google.com")in the text box and click 'OK'.
