The default homepage can be set to any other website URL like "http://www.google.com".
The default homepage directs to the Microsoft website.
First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Second, go to the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main] key, right-click on the blank area to create a new String value with the name "Default_Page_URL".
Next, right-click on the 'Default_Page_URL' String value and click on "Modify".
Finally, enter the URL of the website (like "http://www.google.com")in the text box and click 'OK'.
