Change the navigation sound in Internet Explorer.

This setting lets you change or remove Internet Explorer navigation sound.

Tweak for : Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista

Description:

When you start navigating a web site with Internet Explorer it plays a WAV file. Default sound is a click sound. This setting lets you to change or remove that sound.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter "regedit" and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click and modify the string value "Default" with the complete path and name of the sound file that should be played every time on click. However, if you want to disable sound then leave data value empty.

Restart Internet Explorer for the change to take effect.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents\Schemes\Apps\Explorer\Navigating\.curren t\], right-click on "(Default)" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the desired filename with complete path in the text box and click on 'OK'.
