Disable image resizing in Internet Explorer.

This tweak allows to deactivate the automatic resizing of images in Internet Explorer.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista

Description:

Windows introduced automatic image resizing feature in Internet Explorer 5 and above. The images that are larger than the Internet Explorer display window are automatically reduced in size to fit the visible area, thus removing the need to scroll around the picture. This tweak turns off this function.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click and modify the String value “Enable AutoImageResize”, in the right panel, to “no” which can disable automatic resizing. However, if you want to enable the feature back, change the value data to “yes”.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

The auto-resizing of images is not activated.

The auto-resizing of the images is activated by default.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Secondly, go to the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\] key, right-click on the "Enable AutoImageResize" String Value and click on "Modify".

Finally, enter the value "No" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
