Disable language changes in general tab of Internet Explorer

This setting disables making any changes in the language option in general tab of Internet Explorer.

Tweak for : Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista

Description:

Some websites present their content in other languages also rather than in English only. It helps many users, who understand other languages also. You can add the preferred languages here. They can be moved up or down or removed, according to the priority you want to give. The site displays the most preferred language only, when opened. You may have to download the language support to get the required font for better display because your system may not have the font for that language, but this can be made disable.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, create a DWORD value name “Languages” in the right panel, if it does not exist. Right-click it and modify the data value with “1” to enable the setting and “0” to disable it.

Click “OK” and close the registry editor.

Restart the system or logoff to see the changes taking effect.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

Option to change "Language" is disabled.

"Language" option is enabled by default.

First, click the Start button, and select Run. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\] and create a new key "Internet Explorer".

Third, create a subkey "Control Panel" under "Internet Explorer".

Fourth, create a DWORD value "Language".

Now,right-click on "Language" and select 'Modify'.

Finally, set the "Value Data" to “1”in the textbox provided and click on 'OK'.
