Disable the ability to customize toolbar in Internet Explorer (For All Users).

This setting prevents you from changing which icons should appear in the Internet Explorer Standard toolbars.

Description:

In Internet Explorer, if you select the “Customize” option in “Toolbars” sub-menu of the “View” menu, you can set which icons should appear in the Standard toolbar. This setting disables this feature.

Important:
The restrictions will apply on all user accounts created on your system.

For this, go to Start > Run, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a DWORD value “NoToolbarCustomize”, if this value does not exist.

Now, right-click and modify the value to “1” which can disable the ability to customize the toolbar. However, if you want to go back to the original state, change the value to “0”.

The changes will take effect after a restart or logoff.

NOTE:
This setting can be applied to Windows Explorer as well.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

The "Text Labels" option is visible instead of the default "Customize" option in Internet Explorer.

The "Customize" option is visible by default.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\], right-click in the open area to create a new DWORD value "NoToolbarCustomize".

Third, right-click on the "NoToolbarCustomize" DWORD value and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
