Enable saving encrypted pages to disk.

This tweak lets you enable saving encrypted pages to disk.

Tweak for : Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista

Description:

Internet Explorer saves the retrieved page in its temporary file cache. These pages from secure sockets layer connections may contain important information like password or credit card numbers. It improves the performance and there is no need to re-connect the host. The server authorizes the client computer to use it in the initial security negotiation, when a security sockets layer connection is set between the browser and the remote server.

To avoid saving encrypted pages to disk, this option is by default checked. But you can eable this option with this setting.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click and modify the Dword value “DisableCachingOfSSLPages”, in the right panel, to “1” which can save encrypted pages. However, if you want to revert to the original state, change the value data to “0”.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type 'regedit'.

Now, go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\] and right click on the DWORD value 'DisableCachingOfSSLPages' and select 'Modify'.

Finally set the value data as '1' and click 'OK'.
