Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista
Generally, the “Links” toolbar is displayed with the other Internet Explorer toolbars by default. If you want to, you can remove this toolbar from Internet Explorer.

For this, go to Start > Run, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. If any of the subkeys “Internet Explorer\Toolbars\Restrictions” is not present, create it as explained below. Then, create a DWORD value “NoLinksBar”, if this value does not exist.

Now, right-click and modify the value to “1” which can remove “Links” toolbar from Internet Explorer’s window. However, to show the “Links” toolbar again in Internet Explorer window, you have to add it manually. Go to “Links” menu item under “View > Toolbars” menu and add a checkmark to it. The “Links” bar will appear in your Internet Explorer.

Important:
In Windows 2003, to show the “Links” toolbar in Internet Explorer simply change the DWORD value of “NoLinksBar” to “0”.

The changes will take effect after a restart or logoff.
