Set First Home Page URL in Internet Explorer.

Homepage is a website URL that is loaded as soon as Internet Explorer starts. But, with this setting the homepage URL is loaded only for the first time the browser is launched.

Internet Explorer facilitates to set the desired website URL as Internet Explorer homepage. Homepage is a website URL that is loaded as soon as Internet Explorer starts. Whereas, the First Home Page URL configured with this registry setting, displays the desired website only once and is deleted as soon as the browser is closed down. Such registry settings are used to show first-time information on browser.

For this, go to Start > Run, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a String value “First Home Page”, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value with desired URL to show up on browser only once. The value is auto-deleted if Internet Explorer is closed down.

Refresh view of your computer for the changes to take effect.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\] key, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > String Value" to create a new String Value with the name "First Home Page".

Third, right-click on the 'First Home Page' String value and click on "Modify".

Finally, enter the URL of the webpage and click on 'OK'.
