Set your toolbar icons of Internet Explorer to small size

This setting enables you to customize the size (Small or Large) of the icons used for the toolbar of Internet Explorer.

Tweak for : Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000

Description:

This setting enables you to customize the size (Small or Large) of the icons used for the toolbar of Internet Explorer.

If you enable this setting, you will have small icons on your toolbar, but by default, there are big icons on your toolbar.

For this go to "Start->Run" and enter "regedit" and search the key listed below. You can create one string value "SmallIcons", if this value is not existing.

Now you can set this value to get small icons for your toolbar. After a restart or logoff the changes take effect.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

The Icon size of the 'Toolbar' in Internet Explorer is small after the changes have been made in the registry.

The Icon size of the 'Toolbar' in the Internet Explorer is normal.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\SmallIcons\] key, right-click on the "SmallIcons" String value and click on "Modify".

Finally, enter the value "yes" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
