Turn-off import and export of Internet Explorer settings.

Description:

By using this tweak you can disable the import and export of Internet Explorer cookies and favorites. If "Import and Export" option of Internet Explorer is disabled, after completing the steps in Import and Export wizard and pressing "Finish" button, you will be notified that this action is disabled and your action will be canceled.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter "regedit" and navigate to the registry path listed below. If the subkey “\Internet Explorer” does not exist, create it as explained below. Then, create a a DWORD value "DisableImportExportFavorites" in the right panel.

Now, right-click and modify the value to "1" for disabling import and export function in Internet Explorer. However, if you want to get back to the original state, change the value to "0".

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

Import and Export of Internet Explorer Settings is enabled by default.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type 'regedit'.

Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\] , key and create a new key with the name "Internet Explorer" under "Microsoft".

Now, right-click in the open area to create a DWORD Value with the name "DisableImportExportFavorites" in "Internet Explorer" key.

Next, right-click on "DisableImportExportFavorites" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
