Html files are created by using various Microsoft applications.
HTML pages created with different Microsoft Office application are edited /viewed using Front Page.
HTML pages created with different Microsoft Office application are by default edited/viewed using respective applications.
First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type 'regedit'.
Second, go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\] and create a Sting value 'CheckDocumentForProgID'.
Now, right click on the String value as 'CheckDocumentForProgID' and select 'Modify'.
Finally, set the value data as 'no' and click 'OK'.
