Clear recent file list of PowerPoint in MS Office 2003

This setting lets you clear the most recent file list of Power Point in MS Office 2003.

Tweak for : Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista

Description:

Windows has the ability to save the files, which you have opened most recently and lets you see them but if you do not want others to see the list, you can clear it.

Microsoft Front Page defines the recent files as those, which were used within the last 30 days.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below - “\11.0\ PowerPoint\Recent File List”. Now, create string value name “File(1…n)”, if this value does not exist and delete the list to enable the setting.

Click OK to close the registry.

The ‘Most Recently Used List’ of ‘Microsoft PowerPoint’ is removed.

The ‘Most Recently Used List’ of ‘Microsoft PowerPoint’ is present by default.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0 \PowerPoint\Recent File List\], in the open area, right-click on all those you want delete "File (1...n)" and click on 'Delete',Once you are done. After a restart or logoff, the changes take effect.
