Configure Office URL “Office on the Web” Link in Office 2000

This setting enables you to specify the URL that will be opened in your browser, if you click on the “Office on the Web” link that you will reach via the Help menu of Microsoft Office.

Description:

This setting enables you to specify the URL that will be opened in your browser, if you click on the “Office on the Web” link that you will reach via the Help menu of Microsoft Office.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a String value “OfficeOnTheWeb”, if this value does not exist.
Now, right-click and modify the value to the desired URL like "http://google.co.in" which can change the URL link of "Office On The Web".
However, if you want to restore the URL, delete the value.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

URL support for Microsoft Word is changed as per user defined requirement.

Default URL support for Microsoft Word is visible.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\] key, right-click and click on "New > Key" to create a new key with the name "Office".

Third, right-click on the 'Office' key and click on "New > Key" to create a new key with the name "9.0".

Fourth, right-click on the '9.0' key and click on "New > Key" to create a new key with the name "Common".

Fifth, right-click on the 'Common' key and click on "New > Key" to create a new key with the name "Internet".

Sixth, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > String Value" to create a new String value with the name "OfficeOnTheWeb".

Seventh, right-click on the 'OfficeOnTheWeb' String value and click on "Modify".

Finally, enter the user-defined URL like 'http://google.co.in' in the text box and click on 'OK'.
