URL support for Microsoft Word is changed as per user defined requirement.
Default URL support for Microsoft Word is visible.
First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Second, go to the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\] key, right-click and click on "New > Key" to create a new key with the name "Office".
Third, right-click on the 'Office' key and click on "New > Key" to create a new key with the name "9.0".
Fourth, right-click on the '9.0' key and click on "New > Key" to create a new key with the name "Common".
Fifth, right-click on the 'Common' key and click on "New > Key" to create a new key with the name "Internet".
Sixth, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > String Value" to create a new String value with the name "OfficeOnTheWeb".
Seventh, right-click on the 'OfficeOnTheWeb' String value and click on "Modify".
Finally, enter the user-defined URL like 'http://google.co.in' in the text box and click on 'OK'.
