Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.
The "New Mail Alert" for Outlook appears for long in the System Tray after the changes.
The "New Mail Alert" for Outlook disappears in a short while from the System Tray.
First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Second, go to the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common\DesktopAlerts\] key, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > DWORD Value" to create a new DWORD value with the name "TimeOn".
Third, right-click on the 'TimeOn' DWORD value and click on "Modify".
Finally, enter the value you want in the range of 0-4294964295 in the text box and click on 'OK'.
