First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Second, go to the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Preferences\] key, right-click on the "MinToTray" DWORD value and click on "Modify".
Third, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
