Show Paint Text Tool Bar

This setting lets you display MS Paint text tool bar.

Tweak for : Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista
MS Paint lets you create and edit drawings and scanned photos. If you are writing text, then it should display a toolbar, which has fonts, style and size. If it does not, then the setting has to be changed in the registry.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. If the subkey “\CurrentVersion\Applets\Paint\Text” is not present, create it as explained below. Then, create a DWORD value name “ShowTextTool”, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value data box with “1” to enable the setting.

Close the registry.

After restart, the changes take effect.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

Paint Text Tool Bar is visible in the ‘Paint’ window.

No ‘Text Tool Bar’ is visible in the ‘Paint’ window by default.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets Paint\Text\],right-click in the open area to create a DWORD Value with the name "ShowTextTool" in "Text" key.

Next, right-click on "ShowTextTool" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value "1" (Base Hexadecimal) Without quotation in the text box and click on 'OK'. Once you are done. After a restart or logoff, the changes take effect.

Display status bar in Notepad
