Disable changes to daylight saving time.

This tweak allows you to disable the automatic daylight saving adjustment.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000

Description:

Windows automatically changes the system clock for daylight saving on the computer time zones. Time zone setting comes built-in for changes to the daylight saving time in the registry in Windows. This setting does not change even if the time zone is changed.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a Dword value “DisableAutoDaylightTimeSet” in the right panel, in the right panel, if this value does not exist.

Now, right-click and modify its value to “1” which can disable daylight saving. However, if you want enable the option back, change the value data to “0” or delete the added value.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

‘Automatic Daylight Savings Adjustment’ is being disabled.

‘Automatic Daylight Savings Adjustment’ is enabled by default.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZone Information\],right-click in the open area to create a DWORD Value with the name "DisableAutoDaylightTimeSet" in "TimeZoneInformation" key.

Next, right-click on "DisableAutoDaylightTimeSet" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
